Identity Protection

"No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, declares the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17 ESV).

Although modern identity theft and security infractions are not dealt with directly in either the New or Old Testament, this topic falls in the category of protection. Ancient Israelites and New Testament Christians were tasked and held responsible for the safety of the saints (1 John 3:17).

“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7:12 ESV).

"For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with a stewardship" (1 Corinthians 9:17 ESV).

"Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him"(Proverbs 14:31 ESV).

Christians are constantly tasked with stewardship of land, money, and people; this stewardship consists of protecting those entrusted with the word of Christ and the blessings of God. This means protecting oneself, their family, and their Church from the encroaching secularism and evils of the pagan world. In the modern world, one of the best-known methods of protection is security.
